KidzNet Certified home (Level 3)

Criteria

  All requirements previously listed for obtaining Accreditation Level 2-KidzNet Partner.

  The home must be registered with the Department of Childcare and probation.

Since the home has been registered with the department of Childcare and probation, all requirements must be maintained to government standards. (see Childcare and Probation document: Basic Standards required for a Children's home)

  KidzNet certified homes will produce Yearly:

Audited Financial reports.
Annual report or review
Staff training
Maintained Board and Staff meeting minutes

  KidzNet certified homes will yearly monitor the children's educational, vocational and future plans thereby enabling the children to successfully live a life with a hopeful future. Each home will produce the following plans:

Educational plan for children attending school

Vocational plan for children who have completed their education

Integration of life skills and money management training

Relocation plan for children reaching adulthood and independence.

Yearly monitoring update of all children who have left the home and are now living independently.

  A request letter to the KidzNet office.

Duration

  After one year of Partner status, the home may apply for Accreditation Level 3-KidzNet Certified home status.

  The KidzNet Certification is issued for 24 month period

Upon completion of the 2 year period a comprehensive review and evaluation will be conducted in order renew certification for the following periods consecutively.


Benefits


  Free KidzNet seminar training

  Open fellowship and encouragement with the management and staff of other Christian Children's Homes around Sri Lanka.

  Continual visitation and needs assessment for future support opportunities and assistance with government registrations and maintenance of government statistical and logistical requirements.

  Eligibility to apply for KidzNet in-house training programs for the management and staff of your children's home or residential care centre.

  Eligibility to apply for relief grants when funding permits.

  Eligibility to apply for Micro-grants.

  Certified KidzNet home plaque to be placed at the entrance of the children's home or office of the home.

  Recognition of an exemplary status of care and management with the Department of Childcare and Probation of Sri Lanka.

  Inclusion into the executive planning team that will initiate and execute the formation of future log frame plan of KidzNet.

  Will be considered a Mentor/trainer for Associate and Partner homes.
